Palm work done right.

Trimming, skinning and removals across Corona and the Inland Empire. Free estimates, and your yard left cleaner than we found it.

Palms done properly

Every variety in Southern California gets cut a different way. We know which, and we won't butcher a palm to make it look tidy for a month.

Nothing left behind

Fronds, pods and trunk sections get chipped and hauled. Driveway and walkways blown clean before we pull away.

A price that holds

Free estimate, flat price in writing, and that's what you pay. No hourly creep and no surprise add-ons at the end.

BEFORE AFTER Canary Island date palm after trimming, with a clean pineapple cut

Drag the handle. Canary Island date palm, Corona.

See the difference.

This palm came to us buried under a skirt of dead fronds with the trunk completely hidden. We stripped it back, cut the boots into an even diamond pattern and shaped the crown wide enough to keep the palm healthy.

A neglected palm also holds a surprising amount of dry material — worth thinking about before September. Most palms are a one-visit job, and several in the same yard cost less per tree than doing them one at a time.

We climb palms other crews won't.

Most tree companies treat palms as a side job. Palms are the core of ours.

Mexican fan palms with round, pleated fan-shaped crowns

Mexican fan palmWashingtonia robusta

The tall skinny ones lining half the streets in Corona. Dead frond skirt removed, seed stalks taken before they drop and sprout everywhere, and the trunk skinned clean if you want that finished look.

A Canary Island date palm with long arching feather fronds above a pineapple cut

Canary Island date palmPhoenix canariensis

The big pineapple-cut palms. Fronds shaped evenly, boots trimmed to a clean diamond pattern, and tools sterilized between every palm so we're not carrying fusarium wilt from one yard to the next.

Queen palms with soft, drooping feather fronds on slender grey trunks

Queen palmSyagrus romanzoffiana

Fast growers that drop heavy seed pods and brown fronds twice a year. We clear the pods before they stain your driveway and pull dead fronds without cutting into green growth the palm still needs.

Ornamental palms planted around a pool and patio

King, sago and date palms

Smaller ornamentals around pools, entryways and planters. Light, precise trimming, pup removal on sagos, and careful work around hardscape, screens and irrigation lines.

One thing we won't do: over-trim. A palm cut back to a narrow point looks tidy for a month and then grows back weaker, with a pinched trunk that never recovers. We trim to a wide, healthy crown and tell you honestly when a palm doesn't need work yet.

Services

Palms are the specialty. The truck and the chipper handle the rest of the yard too.

Palm trimming and skinning

Dead fronds, seed pods and boots removed. Trunks skinned smooth or cut to a diamond pattern.

Tree trimming and lacing

Ficus, pine, olive, jacaranda, citrus. Thinned for wind, shaped for light, raised off the roof.

Tree and palm removal

Taken down in sections over pools, fences and tile roofs, with the drop zone roped and controlled.

Brush and fire clearance

Hillside and lot clearing to meet county defensible-space rules before inspection season.

Luis has trimmed trees multiple times and removed three more for me. I will continue to use him. Couldn't be happier as to how he has maintained the tree in the front of our house over the last 4+ years. He took over for me when it become to much for me to do myself. He has always listened to how I have wanted it to be cut. And also is very knowledgeable on how to care for trees the best way possible.

When it comes to tree trimming services, I have to say Luis provides excellent services to his clients. Not only is he polite and professional, his prices are very reasonable for a quality job. I was very pleased with his services yesterday at my house and I'll continue to use him for my future tree trimming needs.

We had the great privilege of having Luis come out and trim/shape our tree which had grown to absolutely massive size. Despite the difficult task, … delivered an outstanding result. We love our tree now. Fair prices. Support local business!

Questions we get a lot.

How often should palms be trimmed?

Mexican fan palms usually once a year. Queen palms twice, because they drop seed pods and fronds faster. Canary Island date palms once a year is plenty. If your palm hangs over a pool or a walkway you may want it more often just to keep the mess down.

What does it cost?

It depends on height, access and how much has to come out — a fifteen-foot queen palm in an open front yard is a different job from a forty-foot fan palm behind a pool. That's why the estimate is free and in writing before we start. Doing several palms in one visit brings the per-tree price down noticeably.

Do you haul everything away?

Yes, and it's included in the price. Fronds, branches and trunk sections get chipped or loaded, and we blow down the driveway and walkways before we leave.

Can you come out for a tree that just came down?

Call us. Storm and wind damage moves to the front of the schedule, especially if a limb is on a roof, a car or a power drop. If a utility line is involved, call the utility first and then call us.

Do I need a permit to remove a tree?

On private property in Corona, usually not — but some HOAs and some street trees have their own rules, and protected species vary by city. Tell us what you're thinking of removing and we'll let you know if it's worth a call to the city first.
